At the centre of our life together is the act of worship — the weekly gathering where we bring ourselves, honestly and openly, into the presence of God.
10:15 AM — Every Sunday
2468 Hillside Rd, Marion Bridge, NS
Our Sunday service lasts approximately one hour and follows a pattern that is both familiar and fresh each week. You will find scripture readings, congregational singing, a time of prayer for the world, and a sermon that takes the text seriously and speaks to real life.
Newcomers are always welcome. You do not need to know the hymns, hold any particular belief, or dress any particular way. Simply come as you are — you will be greeted warmly at the door.
Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. All are welcome at the table — no special membership or preparation is required.
We open with music, a welcome to all present, and a call to worship that sets the tone for the hour.
A reading from the Bible — often from the Revised Common Lectionary — followed by a sermon that explores its meaning for our lives today.
We pray together for our community, for those who are suffering, and for the needs of the world. All are invited to share concerns.
We are blessed and sent out into the week — equipped, renewed, and called to carry the service into the world.
Music has always been at the heart of worship at Zion/Wesley. From the thundering opening hymns drawn from Voices United and More Voices — the United Church's beloved hymnals — to quieter meditative anthems, our music aims to carry the congregation into a deeper place than words alone can reach.
Our organist, who has served the congregation for many years, brings both technical excellence and pastoral sensitivity to the instrument. The volunteer choir sings regularly throughout the program year, and special musical guests are invited for high feast days.
Whether you have a trained voice or simply love to sing (even quietly, to yourself), you are invited to add your voice to ours.
We follow the rhythms of the Christian liturgical calendar, celebrating the full arc of the story of faith through the year.
